DESCRIPTION

This Imperial "Bebut" short sword,known as a Kindjal (translated from the Russian Кинжал), was used during the First World War. A double-edged dagger with a single offset groove on each face of the blade. The Model 1907 is a bit larger than the typical 19th-century example and was traditionally carried by the Cossacks, the South Russian Cavalry. The blade is marked by the minimal crossguard with the round emblem of the famous Zlatoust (Златоуст) Factory and is dated 1915г(год or year). The handle has two large dome-headed rivets, which is the traditional design. It still has the original factory brown finish retained very well and shows little sign of use.

This is a very rare Russian Imperial military Kindjal, which certainly saw action in the Great War and the Russian Revolution (1917). It is in almost perfect condition and is priced very competitively.
