DESCRIPTION

This dagger has a nickel-plated, magnetic steel blade with dull edges. The blade's reverse ricasso is maker-marked Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, with the stamped company's squirrel insignia (the version of the insignia used between 1935 and 1941). It retains its crossgraining and scratches overall. The leather washer at the crossguard junction remains intact. Bright aluminium hilt fittings include the embellished pommel and eagle crossguard. The silvered metal ferrule is magnetic and emblazoned with a repeating oak leaf motif.
